Fish bones may be used to create the environmentally friendly plastic we've been hoping for

Image
Plastics are a blight on land and sea, posing a threat to human and animal welfare, but finding a more "green" solution, apart from dramatically cutting our takeout containers and plastic straws, has proven difficult.     Polyurethane, a form of plastic used in clothing, spray foam, mattresses, and other products, is made from crude oil and phosgene, a poisonous gas. The Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada has created a method for turning fish waste into a substance that is similar to polyurethane but does not contain petroleum-derived crude. This plastic, which is composed of biological materials, will then dissolve more quickly, resulting in fewer microplastics in the atmosphere.      “Around 40 to 60 percent of a fish's landed weight ends up going to waste,” she says. She claims that “surprisingly a lot of waste fish and waste oil will be generated around the world,” with oil accounting for 20% of the total.          One of the most important character

The bones of this cute new toadlet illuminate in the dark

Image
It's a little orange toadlet like this. Well, this creature is called a toadlet—that is the scientific name for it. It's only found in the Mantiqueira mountains of Brazil's Atlantic Forest, and its bones fluoresce when exposed to UV light. It's very cute.      The present extent of the Atlantic Forest is just around a fifth of what it once was, but it is home to over 11,000 endangered species. Up to 90% of the amphibians found there are native to the forest, meaning they can only be found there.      This pumpkin toadlet resembles a different breed of pumpkin toadlet. You wouldn't recognize this small frog from its cousin if you come across one while wandering through the woods (they're hard to find because they hide among the leaf litter). It's unknown what purpose the fluorescent bones represent, but they may be related to communication.      It can seem negligible to add one more frog species to the Atlantic Forest's vast frog population.   Crew climbs aboard SpaceX NASA and SpaceX will need to thread the needle to launch the SpaceX Crew-1 Sunday evening. An approaching polar front will bring increasing clouds and therefore the threat of scattered downpours to the Space Coast. The 45th Weather Squadron downgraded the launch probability of Sunday’s launch from 60% attend 50% only to upgrade it to 80% afterward . The Navy meteorologists are highlighting the cumulus rule, flight through precipitation and surface field rule because the primary concerns for a weather violation Sunday evening. Teams are monitoring conditions both at the Cape and downrange across the Atlantic on the spacecraft’s ascent path to orbit. The SpaceX launch that was alleged to happen Saturday evening was pushed back 24 hours thanks to strong onshore winds. Come Sunday evening, the Space Coast can expect highs within the low 80s, light winds out of the northeast, and a 30% chance for showers which will start to taper off by 5 p.m. The launch remains

Rubik cube solution

He took a month to solve it Erno Rubik, The son of a poet mother and a glider-manufacturer father the creator of Rubik's cube in 1974 when he was 29 years old made it. He is a Hungarian architecture professor. He made this cube to explain 3-dimensional geometry to his students. A report says that "One in seven people in the world has played with a Rubik's Cube, and more than 400 million have been sold since its invention in 1974. He thought that no one could solve this. Randomly twisting it, he realized it would take longer than he had on Earth.  Mathematicians later calculated that there are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 ways to arrange the squares, but just one of those combinations is correct. Approximately 50 books were published describing how to solve the puzzle of Rubik’s Cube.  It proved a useful tool for teaching algebraic group theory. It took a month of twisting and re-twisting in his room before he found the solution. Exhilarated, he left the room and showed h
