 4 killed By armed robber in Vienna, Austria

Police investigation says that at least four might have been shot, and over fifteen were wounded, and eight with life-threatening injuries. This crime scene was executed by the armed robber in the city center of Vienna, Austria, on Monday. And also the country interior minister claims it as an "Islamist terrorist". Also, he says that two men and two women died from their injuries. The minister said a single suspect, he is armed with a rifle and fake explosive vest.

 NPR's Schmitz reports Nehammer said the suspect was 20 years old. He is a dual citizen of Austria and Noth Macedonia. He was already sentenced to 2years in prison last year because he tried to join Islamic State by traveling to Syria. Then he was released seven months later due to laws applying to young adults. Nehammer said that the video material is seized at the suspect's house along with several additional arrests.

So the people of Vienna were told to stay home on Tuesday because other suspects may hide somewhere around there. The incident began at about 8 PM Monday. Witness said the armed robber fired randomly into bars and cafes which were crowded on the last night before nationwide lockdown because of the coronavirus. The robber was killed by police within minutes.

As the chancellor, Sebastian Kurz described the incident as a "despicable terrorist attack". The government declared 3 days of national mourning with flags to be flown over half-staff through Thursday. Thank you for reading.
